Fremonter Bobby Gipe led his OSU Club Soccer team to a 4th place finish at the club National Championships last weekend at the Un of Alabama.
In the round robin tourney the buckeyes lost in the consolation finals for their 4th place finish
Tonight the 11th ranked OSU men's swim team swam past Cleveland State 169-86 in a sprint meet format. Instead of swimming 200 yd events, the teams swam sprint 50's. Lincoln Fahrbach had a first place in the 200 free relay (split 20.96), seconds in the 200 medley (split 20.71) and 200 freestyle and a 3rd in the 100 free. At Shawnee State, SJCC grad Becky Babione participated in 3 victories this week, scoring 12pts-5rbs in beating Berea State (Ky) 112-62. She had 9 pts-9rbs against WV Tech and 9pts, 8rbs in a win over Cedarville. Up North at Saginaw Valley State the Cardinals are 0-4, 0-2 regular season with losses to Central State and Northern Kentucky. Adam Gries (FR) had 4 pts, 3rbs against NKy. ON DEC 18TH @8:00 ASHLAND UN ON DEC 20TH AT HILLSDALE UN, MICHIAN ON JAN 29 .GET OVER AND SEE THIS LOCAL STAR WHEN HE IS PLAYING IN THE AREA.

At the OSU Invite today 12/5 OSU Freshman Lincoln Fahrbach turned in his best times ever by far. In the 50 free style he went 20.45 prelims and 20.40 in the
finals for 5th place. In the 200 free relay he turned in a 19.57 split as the team posted a NCAA B consideration time of 1:19.62 finishing 2nd to Minnesota. In
the 400 Medlay relay he posted a 100 free time of 44.27.
OSU has a good size lead over Minnesota and Penn State after Day 1. |

Gries played in Findlay Thursday night. Had a good game, but SVSU got beat. Findlay is a top-ranked team in DII and have- arguably- the best DII player in the
nation in Josh Bostic. The kid is fun to watch!

Basketball results: The Nationally 3rd ranked NAIA Shawnee State Becky Babione (SJ) lead the team in a double victory. Friday in a game
against 4th ranked St.Francis (Indiana), Babione had 27points and10 rebounds. Saturday she had 8 pts and 5 boards in a wina agianst St. Francis (Illinois).
In wrestling OSU sr. Wes Bergman (Oak Harbor) filling in for injured NCAA 184 champion Pucillo lost twice at the Las Vegas Open this weekend. He lost a first round match to eventual Champion Kirk Smith of Boise State. He then lost in the consolation bracket to a wrestler from UNC Greensboro 6-0. Bergman has won 5 matches this year and is around 5-4 for the season. Pucillo is expected back after the first of the year. At the Wooster College Swim Ivitational, Ohio Northern men finished 2nd. Andre Velez(FR) finihed 27th in the 50 freestyle, 9th in the 200 free relay and swam in the 100 freestyle. Nick Swint (SJ) finished 4th in the 400 medley,13th in the 200 back, 11th in the 200 fly nad 2nd in the 400 medley relay. ONU finished second in the mens team results. At the Akron Zip Invite, Jessica Ickes (FR) had a 3rd place finish in the 200 free relay, 14th in the 50 free and 23rd in the 100 butterfly as the Zips finished second to OU in the team results. UN of Toledo finished 3rd at the Eastern Michigan Invite. Jacque Fate (FR) finished 15th inthe 100 freestlyle, 7th in the 200 medley relay, 8th int he 200 free relay,

Frig, I believe Brittany had a year of eligiblity left at BGSU due to a medical redshirt year, but she had enough classes in so she graduated.
Morgan O'Connor graduated from OSU three years ago and is now an engineer out west. |
