That's how I feel - the same as Keith. NO disrespect to Coach W. It's hard because I've developed a very small friendship with her, but at the same time I also hear the frustration of the girls from past years, current years and those coming up in the system.

I don't understand you. Now you are questioning my writing ethics?

If you want more, I can tell you what she's said. Honestly, there's probably 85-90% of what she's said in interviews that I've NEVER written down because our site wasn't about providing the "honest news" it was about providing positives for the kids.

You know Mr. O (the person who did FOS.com) and you know our goal was to never criticize a player in a headline, article, etc. whether it is truth or not.

You may be right about #1, but that's now how I took it.

As for #2, I never embelished anything. Instead of going to her for those types of quotes after that, I went to her players and asked them for comments about their teammates. They had nice things.

#3- Has anyone said she doesn't do anything? While many criticize her "meanness" I haven't taken the side that that is why she should leave. Part of me wants her to stay because I like talking to her, but that doesn't mean beans when the basketball program is the laughing stock of NW Ohio. We even joke now that Bettsville could probably give Ross a game.

I've talked to parents who've allowed their girls to quit the team or not play and their only reason was the way they were treated. It wasn't that they couldn't stand being yelled at, the intensity, etc., it was about other things.

I'm not in the program and don't care to be, but from what I've seen I have to say I think she is not the same coach she used to be (intensity, winning, effort). That isn't saying she isn't doing those things at all, just at a different level.

I'll conclude with this - your comment that everything I write must be questioned for accuracy. You're right. It should be. You should always question the accuracy of any writer. And, you can be assure of this...you'll never find me 100% honest if it means belittling a high school athlete. That doesn't mean I make something up, that means I leave it out or find another source.

Again, I'm not saying she should go because she is mean (or "not mean"). She should go because the simple fact that she is hurting the program. You mean to tell me that out of all the girls in the school you can't find enough to respect her? Why don't they respect her. That should be the real question. Respect is earned so if they haven't given her a chance then what is their problem?

A season like this (1-20) where your only win came against a team that started with 4 players and finished with 3, coupled with you had a pretty talented senior on your team, along with a couple other girls who had okay potential, coupled with our records over the past several years.

Again, if a TEACHER produced students with good grades for 20 years, then all of a sudden "something" happened and the next 10 years the students all started failing every year, you can't say it was 10 straight years of "bad/stupid/unintelligent" students. It has to go both ways. You'd say that maybe the teacher has lost his/her swagger and needs to step aside from teaching or do something different.

As far as I know, we still run the same offense for the most part as they did 20 years ago.
