Madison wins the sectional title and moves to 19-2 on the season. The Rams will face Mansfield Senior in the district semi-finals. The Little Giants finish
their season at 11-11.

I don't know what to say. If anything, it was more of Madison jumping all over us 16-0 run early on and it caught us off guard and we couldn't come back. Gamble got a technical and his 3rd foul early and it was the right call. Their #24 liked to jaw the whole game trying to lure us into a dumb technical and he did. Who'da thunk it? Anyways, congrats on an 11-11 season. |

Many folks thought that this would be about a 6 or 7 win season. So I guess 11 wins is a good thing. The Little Giants lose four Seniors from this years team
but return some good young talent. There is hope for next season.

IMO I think Ross needs to move to a full court, fast paced offense. With the loss of both big men, and no real height on the team behind them, I think it would
be best. We are a Guard oriented team and if they look to push and run every time they touch the ball I think we could do well. Just my opinion

Let's get the story straight. Shunnar was called for the foul...but anyone could see that the kid was pulling on him. And while I do not condone his behavior, the kid from Mansfield called Shunnar a "b...h" and my son lost his cool. No excuses for the way our kids played, but the refs did not have control over that game. Though the better team, Mansfield Madison displayed poor sportsmanship, their coaches displayed poor sportsmanship, and by the way, did you see how their supporters came over to taunt our players after the game? Thank you. |

I guess we all see things from different perspectives.
1. Yes, a tugging match was going on, I was in the front row on the score's table watching it and yes, the player from Mansfield was taunting Shunnar. I agree. 2. You are right that he lost his cool, but he's not the first kid to do so and definitely not the first from Ross in recent years. I probably would have done the same thing. 3. I did not feel their supporters came over to taunt our players after the game, they ran over to celebrate with their team, which just so happened to be in a line-up shaking our players' hands. I may have missed something though. Regardless, the season is over. Shunnar, and others, grew up a lot this year and positive things will happen in the future. I look forward to watching him over the next two years. Finally, it ALL goes back to what we've been saying over the years about Fremont players keeping their cool, etc....why is it that we can't, but for the most part the other teams can? Why is it that Fremont Ross is known as the team that other players can get us all worked up and we'll commit the technical, or the personal foul in football, or throw the punch, etc. I'll never understand that. |

there was alot of frustration on this team.... as "annabella" said awhile back - if people only knew what all went on. no matter
what coach G says in his interviews, this is a very selfish team... weak physically and mentally.... throw in different rules for different players...
obvious disparities in the "margin for error" for each player... no ramifications for misconduct ---- that adds up to problems.
hope coach can right the ship..... there ARE reasons why 2 or 3 or 4 players have not returned to play the "next season" ( especially the last 2-3 years )...... talented players i might add. |
