Home or away?
If away, it is a good 110 miles. I have been past the school and it is a long drive. Beautiful school and area, but I would guess smaller population than Ross, probably the equivelennt of D-3 maybe even D-4. Why did Brunswick back out? What would this mean for playoff points for what should be a pretty good team next year? Our Ann Arbor connection should be able to give us some first hand knowledge. Inquiring minds want to know?? |

For those who don't know, Bloomfield Hills is an extremely upscale Detroit suburb. Along the lines of Dublin or Worthington here in Ohio.

The game is set for Friday, Sept. 25 at Don Paul Stadium in Fremont. The game is already listed on Lahser's 2009 football schedule at

Enrollment 984 . Interesting how you can make their playoff's---win 6 games and you are in. Michigan high schools automatically qualify for the Michigan
High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) football playoffs by winning a minimum of 6 games when playing a 9 game schedule or a minimum of 5 games when playing
an 8 game schedule.
Track and swimming have it if you hit a certain time during the year, you qualify. They eliminate sectionals and districts as a result, but have more divisions and a much bigger state meet. If I understand the new OHSAA rule, we could not go up there since there is some kind of mileage limit for out of state games. Nice web sites, thanks for the links Keith.

Hello everyone, I'm from Michigan, and I found this board from a link on one of the MI boards. I'm interested in going to this game, and I know that a
lot of schools in Ohio have reserved seating. So I'm wondering what the process is of getting tickets to this game. Thanks.

The only reserved seating at Don Paul Stadium is on the home side. The visitors side is all general admission. And btw..welcome to the forum.

Ksm624 wrote: Thank you. It's cool that there is a forum like this for only 1 high school. I asked the question because if I go, I would like to sit on the home side, because I looked at the stadium on Google Earth, and the home side is a lot higher than the visitors side. I'm not a Lahser grad, or fan, just someone who is interested in going o the game. So I won't be on your side of the field cheering for Lahser and causing trouble. Also, how good of a team/ program is Fremont Ross? The only thing I know about you guys is that Charles Woodson is from there. Lahser is one of the better teams in the Detroit Metro area, and they play in a very tough conference. Last year they reached the state semifinals. |

You can check out one of the forum members' sites www.fremontrossfootball.com That has a lot of our history.
The program is in a huge upswing over the past 5-6 years. Just a couple years ago they finished 10-0 in regular season. I would say Fremont is above the "middle of the road" Division I programs in Ohio. We aren't a team that can go win many playoff games yet, but we are heading in the right direction. It is a program that has a lot of pride and a lot of fans. You are always more than welcome to sit on the homeside. I believe the reserved seats are $7 a game. There is usually room unless they are playing a huge conference game. |

There are sections on history there that detail our record against every team ever place since we began playing football in 1895. Also the scores from every season. To expand on Kyles comment. Ross has qualified for the OHSAA playoffs 5 times since their creation in 1972. The Little Giants have one regional title, one appearance in the final four. The Little Giants have won 35 conference titles and are considered by most knowledgable Ohio football fans as one of the states historic football schools. Fremont Ross takes part in Ohios second-oldest football rivalry with Sandusky High. The two teams have played 103 times since 1895. It is also one of the top 25 oldest rivalries in the United States. Ross also just went over the 600 win plateau this past season reaching win #603 by seasons end. Not only has the program produced Heisman Trophy winner and Michigan great Charles Woodson, but also Rob Lytle and Tony Gant who were Wolverine greats. Numerous NCAA and NFL football players started their careers as Little Giants.
