Ross beat kenton in the finals by 2 tds...fooos looked real good I heard and the wrs did a real good job ...ross lost to kenton earlier in the day in the
roundrobbin but beat kenton in the finals....cody loooked sharp.The same two teams will meet in fremont tomorrow.

Just got home, fired up the computer and saw this post. Glad to hear we were sharp in this outing. BUT, I go over to the Huddle and the first thing I see is a
thread about the kenton 7 on 7, and they go into how the Fremont players were mouthy and classless. Was anybody from this forum in kenton today ? Can anybody
confirm or dispute what went on today ? I was really hoping this would not be a problem this year, because this record is really starting to get old with me.

i heard... from a pretty reliable source.... the adult driver of the golf cart was mouthy to our kids first - no excuse for our kids granted... but the
kenton folk better not get to nasty about that *S*
from the same source - we were NOT very sharp - lost to ada & kenton in pool play - lots of drops - cody NOT as sharp as we hope... defense burned alot... IMO - 7 on 7's not that revealing - maybe you can get some good "reads" on corner / safety play... and see how the qb & receivers are jelling.... wins are always good... but not the end all IMO of course *S* |

every year we go down there and its fremont ross the troublemaker?..look guys something was said to the ross players afterward and im sure it wasn't a
pretty comment from them..frankly they hate lsoing 7 on 7s we try to eevaluate and play everybody while kenton looks to win..source I have says we started off
slow but got better as the day wore on.8 30 start this morning guys. GOODD JOB today guys get some rest amd forget about today get back at it first thing
tomorrow.

As far as pass defense lol lets remember this a passing scrimaage and teams get 40 yards to score..Ross plays all dbs wrs on varsity roster jv too and the
starting secondary is not necessarily getting hurt..I LIKLE HOW COACH KIDWELL does his rotations in 7 on 7's ESPECIALLYWhen we play the next day guys...BTW
id like to know why in the heck is kenton having a 7on7 on a friday? and right before ours????? kids will be tired for sure tomorrow night.

WAY TO GO LITTLE GIANTS! I realize this is just a 7 on 7 but it's good news and will quiet those folks in Hardin County a bit. Every year we go down there
the Kenton folks smack talk and accuse us of being troublemakers. May I remind you those claims are coming from a school with a not too pretty past when it
comes to discipline issues. If I am not mistaken they'll be in Fremont tomorrow.

I was there, yes the boys were sluggish all the way up to to the beginning of the actual tournament. They started off tourament play with Marion Catholic and
won, then played Kentons' B team winning that game as well. That lit a fire under their butts- got them psyched for I think it was West Liberty Salem(?)-
won it. Played Kenton in the finals and won. The Fighting was BS. Last year, I watched our player(s) and was embarrassed by the cheap shot and jawing. This
year was not the case. I watched to see who was going to be the "@$$%%+#" this year and to my amazement it was not our boys that started the
"tough man contest". I do wish that they would learn to walk away. Let me ask this guys, at 15, 16, or 17 years old would you have (or did you) show
restraint? If so, how'd you do it? I am looking forward to tomorrow- a rematch with Kenton will prove interesting.

that's good to hear.....these are 14 15 16 17 yr old boys and going full speed at 8 am in the morning is no kids best lol I know....But as long as there in
shape for afterboon and friday nights is my main concern..btw we are notorious for starting off slow in these but we get better and that's good.

Again, I find it quite funny that a school like Kenton with its well-documented history of major discipline problems has the audacity to accuse another program
of bad behavior. Shall we revisit the fake deer in the road incident? How about the steroid incident? Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying our kids
are perfect. We know that every time we go down there for this 7 on 7 something is going to happen. It's a 7 on 7 not the state title game. Let's put
it in perspective and move on.

Kenton fans are so freakin arrogant. They lose their own 7 on 7 and then accuse our players of bad behavior. Keith is right. Kenton has no room to talk when it
comes to bad behavior. If our players were misbehaved then let's deal with it. But Kenton fans have no room to be calling anyone out when it comes to this
kind of stuff. Like Jake said on the huddle....Oh Dear....or is it Deer?

Come on guys, you are over-reacting just a bit.
While winning a 7-on-7 doesn't crown you a conference title or a playoff spot, it isn't meaningless. If it was meaningless, coaches wouldn't compete. It is a way to gauge your QBs and receivers strengths and provide other coaching opportunities. Again, I know it doesn't mean a lot, but it definitely isn't "meaningless." Confidence can go a LOOOOONGGG way. If they think they can beat everyone, they may play like it. |

Football is a totally different game when you take out the contact. Everybody looks good in practices. You can have an All-star lineup out there but it
don't mean jack if your line can't block for you. These things are just a glorified ptich and catch backyard game. Sure they can work on new plays and
stuff, but then what are the 2-a-days of August for?
